Fingerprint Cards announced it has named Henrik Sundell the company’s general counsel, a role in which he will oversee FPC’s legal affairs.

Henrik has an extensive and broad experience having worked in similar positions in the Swedish industry, most recently with DeLaval and Ericsson.

He will join FPC’s leadership team and will assume his position at some point in spring 2015.

“We are very happy to see Henrik strengthening FPC and our leadership team,” said Jörgen Lantto, acting president and CEO of FPC. “We are in a phase of high growth and we need to strengthen our legal affairs to manage increased business transactions. We are looking forward to utilizing Henrik’s strong experiences in fields highly relevant for FPC’s business.”

“FPC is a very exciting company having a leading technology in a market of strong growth,” said Sundell. “I am looking forward to contributing to FPC’s continued success and help to create a strong Swedish semiconductor supplier in a global market.”

Previously reported, Fingerprint Cards has partnered with O-Film to provide its touch fingerprint sensor technology while O-Film is developing, manufacturing and selling fingerprint sensor modules to OEMs.
