FPC sensor in Huawei Mate 8 smartphone, date set for 2016 revenue guidance announcement

 

Fingerprint Cards AB and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology has been integrated into the latest Huawei smartphone. The Mate 8 uses the FPC1025 touch sensor and Precise Biometrics’ product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Jörgen Lantto, CEO of FPC, has said, “FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality.”

As reported earlier this month, FPC and Precise Biometrics partnered to integrate their respective fingerprint technologies in Xiaomi’s and Lenovo’s new smartphone models.

In a separate announcement, Fingerprint Cards AB said that a press release containing the 2016 revenue guidance will be published on December 9, 2015, 1.00 P.M, CET.
