Fingerprint Cards touch sensor FPC1035 in new Vivo smartphones

Vivo’s new Android smartphones, the Vivo X6 and X6 Plus, feature Fingerprint Cards (FPC) touch fingerprint sensor FPC1035 and Precise Biometrics’ product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile. The integration will generate license revenue starting from the fourth quarter 2015.

Jörgen Lantto, CEO of FPC, comments: “Vivo is a leading smartphone manufacturer in China and we are proud that Vivo selected FPC1035 for X6 and X6 Plus, its first smartphones integrating touch fingerprint sensor, following the success of Xplay 3S that was launched in 2014 with FPC1080 swipe sensor. FPC1035 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality”.

”We are pleased that this vendor continues to use Precise BioMatch Mobile. High performance fingerprint software is crucial to ensure a good user experience and secure identity verification”, added Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics.

in related news, Fingerprint Cards said that an announcement containing the 2016 revenue guidance will be published on December 9, 2015, 1.00 P.M, CET.
