Two new smartphone integrations for FPC and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology

Fingerprint Cards AB (FPC) and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology has been integrated into the latest Meizu Meilan Metal “Telecom version” and Coolpad Note 3 Lite smartphones.

The devices both use Precise Biometrics’ product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile. The Meizu device uses the FPC1155 touch fingerprint sensor, while the Coolpad device uses the FPC1025 touch fingerprint sensor.

It has been a busy start to the year for the two companies. Just last week Fingerprint Cards (FPC) and Precise Biometrics announced that its fingerprint technology has been integrated into the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Quanwangtong and QiKu Flagship Ultimate smartphones. As well, Precise Biometrics entered an agreement with J-Metrics Technology Co. to license Precise BioMatch Mobile for fingerprint recognition.

Fingerprint Cards also announced last week that it has been nominated for a Telekompriset 2015 industry award. The Telekompriset or Telekom Prize acknowledges companies and individuals who have excelled in the telecommunications industry and is awarded by the independent Swedish newsletter Telecom News.

According to a year-end report by Bloomberg Business, Fingerprint Cards was Europe’s best performing stock for 2015, climbing 1,391 percent in 2015, the biggest gainer among the 1,000 companies on the Bloomberg World EMEA Index.
