Ideal Innovations introduces mobile face matching solution

The biometrics products solution division of Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I3) has released FABIS-Mobile, enabling on-device face matching against millions of records on mobile phones and tablets.

The company says its next-generation mobile face matching can search 1-5 million records on a mobile device, more than a hundred million records on a single laptop, and 500 million to more than a billion images on a single server with matching speeds in excess of 25 million comparisons per CPU core, per second. This is achieved by incorporating a new facial recognition algorithm that enables very large databases to be searched on mobile platforms with incredibly fast search times and exceptional facial recognition accuracy for constrained and unconstrained face images. I3 also supports face tracking, and video-based face recognition.

Ideal Innovations partner, Secure Planet, will be demonstrating this new solution at Expo Seguridad in Mexico City later this month, the Michigan State Police Biometrics Conference in May and the Police Security Expo in June.
