Chilean biometric verification company TOC announced that Andrés Landerrretche, a lawyer at the University of Chile and former diplomat, will lead its newly created International Management division.

Founded in 2010, TOC S.A. is a Chilean company specializing in the development of identity verification technologies and applications derived from biometric technology.

Landerretche has developed his career mainly abroad in the diplomatic service of Chile with assignments in South Africa and as delegate of Chile to the United Nations in New York. He also led the area of corporate affairs, communications, environment and community relations in various business divisions of BHP Billiton in Chile and Australia.

Prior to becoming the TOC International Manager, he was managing partner of ENCO Sustainability Consulting, specializing in environmental sustainability, community relations and strategic communications.

According to a statement by the company, TOC has initiated a strong international positioning plan with recent office openings in Europe as well as other business opportunities with the fintech industry and its integration in the financial digital ecosystem that Landerretche will continue to develop and implement.

Back in May, TOC announced that it was the first Latin American company to join the FIDO Alliance.
