EAB seminar to focus on practical issues of biometrics for financial services

 

The European Assocation for Biometrics (EAB) will carry out its popular Biometrics in Banking and Payments seminar next month at the ABN AMRO headquarters in Amsterdam.

The seminar will reflect the trends and opportunities of biometrics in the financial market and focus on practical issues of biometrics for financial services. Topics to be covered include the implementation of PSD2, privacy and data protection in the perspective of the new GDPR and how to choose the right solution. Keynotes will be provided by Jacoba Sieders, global head identity and access management at ABN-AMRO, and Michael Sass, vp market product management, security solutions, Europe at Mastercard.

Speakers will focus on the underlying business cases and developments in mobile banking and financial transactions and share experiences from a business perspective, covering aspects such as process flows, added value, fraud reduction, implementation strategy and client experience.

Biometrics in Banking and Payments will also provide guidance on how biometrics can be used to optimize key aspects of the banking and payment processes, such as customer interaction, operational efficiency, fraud reduction and prevention.

Alongside the seminar there will be a Mini Expo, where various vendors show their state of the art technology and solutions.

The December 7 seminar is sponsored by BioCatch, BioTrust, Daon, Lucom, InnoValor and UL.

There is free admission for banks and financial institutions.
