NEC and NPS to showcase safe city solutions at International Security Expo 2018

NEC Europe and Northgate Public Services (NPS) announced its participation in this month’s International Security Expo 2018 taking place in London, UK. NPS was acquired by NEC in January for £475 million.

NEC and NPS will showcase a range of safe city solutions including facial recognition systems, automated fingerprint identification system (AFIS), the CONNECT police platform and video analytics solutions.

NEC will also join the Biometric and Access Control Technology Workshop, where Chris de Silva, vp of global biometrics, AI and analytics at NEC will speak on the topic of “Face recognition; myths vs reality”.

NEC has been active on the trade show circuit recently. In October they featured biometric retail and banking concepts at Futurecom and this month have showcased biometric tech for financial service providers at the Singapore FinTech Festival and displayed its biometrics-based travel concept at FTE Asia Expo.
