Monument Policy Group has been hired to take over management of the Identification Technology Association (IdTA), a trade group that promotes the use and widespread adoption of biometric, identity management, and cybersecurity technologies. Monument Policy Group is a bipartisan government relations, strategic communications and public affairs consulting firm.

Monument partner Andrew Howell will serve as president of IdTA. Howell has been a partner at Monument for 12 years supporting the firms marketing of technology solutions and emerging technologies. Prior to Monument, Howell served as VP of Homeland Security Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

“IdTA is excited about the leadership and breadth of experience Andrew and Monument bring to the association,” said Teresa Wu, chairman of the board at IdTA. “The Board is excited with the new direction we’ve laid out for IdTA, and we look forward to becoming more engaged in Washington, D.C. under the management of Monument.”

“The Monument team is excited for this partnership,” added Howell. “This affiliation complements our robust practice working with coalitions and trade associations as well as our expertise in the security technology and cybersecurity space. We’re delighted that this dynamic group of companies has hired the firm to advance their advocacy agenda in Washington, and look forward to a productive partnership.”
