Fingerprint Cards biometric technology deployed in nine new smartphone models

 

Fingerprint Cards sensor technology continues to be deployed in new smartphone models. The Swedish biometrics company has revealed that an additional nine smartphones recently released featuring FPC sensors.

The Honor 8A Pro, Honor 10i and Honor 20i were launched with FPC 1028/1511 sensors, the Oppo A9 and Realme 3 Pro with the FPC1511, the Razer Phone 2 features the FPC1145, the Sharp AQUOS R3 with the FPC1291, and Google’s new Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL smartphones come with Fingerprint Cards’ FPC1035 sensor.

The company noted that it is “very proud and delighted to provide world class biometrics for world wide smartphone brands.”

This announcement follows last week’s news that Fingerprint Cards has now shipped one billion fingerprint sensors worldwide. The Swedish biometrics company reports that its sensors are now integrated into more than 330 smartphone models globally and also in a range of next-generation form factors for applications including access control, smart cards and IoT.
