Ipsidy delivers mobile biometrics to Australia, announces Temenos partnership and conference
PharmacyID has partnered with Ipsidy to develop a mobile biometric identity verification solution with high assurance for the Australian market, the company announced.
With over 20 years of activity in Australia and recognized by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) for police background checks and the Department of Home Affairs, PharmacyID will upgrade its in-person identify verification with Ipsidy’s facial biometric and digital onboarding technology to prevent identity fraud. The system is developed for both public and private sector organizations at risk of ID fraud, specifically in relation to welfare and Superannuation benefits claims.
According to the contract, Ipsidy’s IDaaS platform and mobile biometric identity services will be added to PharmacyID’s platform for an advanced facial biometric and document verification solution. The system would be compliant with Identity Proofing Level 4, (as defined by the Australian Digital Transformation Agency – TDIF Release Four) and EAL3 (as defined by NIST).
The partnership will enable a fully remote identity verification solution and proof of service for enterprises with automated facial biometric matching of a selfie to the photo extracted from an Australian driver’s license. Ipsidy’s technology will ensure mobile multi-factor authentication to prevent online fraud.
“Everything starts with trusted identity,” said Phillip Kumnick, CEO of Ipsidy, in a prepared statement. “Our identity platform offers innovative solutions that are flexible, fast, and easy to use and integrate. The Agreement with PharmacyID marks Ipsidy’s first foray into Australia and demonstrates the ability of the Ipsidy platform to support customers around the world.”
“The remote online world is rapidly growing with validation of an individual’s identity creating the basis of a new form of trust,” said Geoff Stockton, PharmacyID Managing Director, in a prepared statement. “By adding Ipsidy’s identity platform services to our platform, PharmacyID can provide an enhanced service with the highest level of trust, needed to address current and future customer demands in the Australian market.”
Earlier this month, Ipsidy joined the Temenos MarketPlace, a platform that helps banks access innovative technologies. Temenos MarketPlace customers now have access to Ipsidy’s IDaaS platform and mobile biometric identity solution portfolio. As a result, global banks can benefit from identity onboarding and proofing capabilities (ProofTM) and multi-factor transaction authentication (Verified).
On June 25 at 1.00 p.m. Eastern time, Ipsidy will be hosting a web conference moderated by CEO Phillip Kumnick and webcast by One World Identity. It will discuss the digital identity market, strategic updates and product upgrades. Registrations are available at Ipsidy June 25 Web Conference.
