EAB Lunch Talk: Human deepfake processing – Insights from super-recognizers, law enforcement and general society

European Association for Biometrics (EAB) is hosting a lunch talk on April 16, 2025.
This Lunch Talk will feature Prof. Dr. Ramon (Professor of Applied Data Science at Berner Fachhochschule BFH and Head of the Applied Face Cognition (AFC) Lab) and will detail her team’s latest work in the field and give participants an opportunity to ask their questions with a short Q&A.
In this talk, Meike Ramon will present the findings of her team’s recent work on human deepfake detection and facial identity processing of natural and synthetic faces. She will conclude with an outlook of the Applied Face Cognition Lab’s future directions using deepfakes generated using state-of-the-art open-source generative models and artistic content developed by creative professionals.
