Sogeti teams with Precise Biometrics on Swedish healthcare smartcards

Sogeti, a technology consultancy and leading provider of mobile solutions, announced it will start offering Precise Biometrics products to its clients.

One of Sogeti’s main business segments is the Swedish healthcare market. Solutions for the Swedish healthcare space must be preceded by strong authentication because the Swedish healthcare system provides access to patient data via login with a smartcard. The integration of Precise Biometrics’ Tactivo platform provides Sogeti with the strong authentication needed to meet Swedish healthcare standards.

“Through collaboration between Sogeti and Precise Biometrics, the card can also be used in a mobile environment,” says Andreas Sjöström, globally responsible for Sogeti’s mobile initiative.

Precise Biometrics’ technology is mainly used for ID, enterprise and bank cards, as well as access to mobile solutions, computers and networks.

The firm launched a new product called Tactivo this summer, which is an intelligent sleeve for mobile devices available for the iPhone and iPad, and certified by Apple. The use of the Tactivo smart casing, along with the Precise Biometrics partnership, opens up the opportunity for Sogeti to increase the development of apps and provide mobile security around the access of even the most sensitive information.

“We are delighted that Sogeti chose to launch a technical cooperation with us. We have great respect for their expertise in app development and we feel very strongly that as partners we will see an increase in app development for the professional healthcare Swedish market, enabling both enterprises to deepen our footprint within this segment,” says Thomas Marschall, CEO of Precise Biometrics.
