Ingram Micro Canada now exclusive distributor for Invixium biometric fingerprint access control products

Ingram Micro Canada has become the exclusive Canadian distribution partner of Invixium’s IXM line of biometric fingerprint access control products.

“Through the new deal, Ingram Micro Canada – a global technology and supply chain services provider – will distribute Invixium’s full line of biometric access control solutions to channel partners throughout Canada. “

The partnership will help to expand Invixium’s Canadian market reach, enabling channel partners to more easily market, sell and deploy the biometric solutions to business-to-business channels, such as government, education, enterprise and small-to-medium business.

The Canadian-manufactured Invixium IXM product line uses biometric fingerprint sensing technologies that allow for multi-factor authentication with PINs and access cards.

“Our new relationship with Invixium broadens our physical security portfolio and provides channel partners with a proven and flexible solution that offers their end-users an easy to use and highly secure and advanced access control system,” said Suzanne Macdonald, director of sales at Ingram Micro Canada. “Physical security represents a fast-growing, converging market opportunity for channel partners, and is a key area of focus and specialization for Ingram Micro.”

The companies are also currently working on plans to expand the exclusive distribution partnership on a global basis.

“Biometrics is becoming main-stream rapidly,” says Shiraz Kapadia, CEO of Invixium. “The market is primed to upgrade from traditional access control methods to biometric IP based security products and that presents a sizable opportunity to channel partners in Canada and worldwide.”
