M2SYS Technology deploys biometric voter registration software in Yemen

M2SYS Technology announced that the country of Yemen is deploying its TrueVoter biometric voting registration platform for the nation’s upcoming constitutional referendum and national elections.

The scalable and customizable TrueVoter software will allow the country’s Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) to deploy and maintain a complete biometric information system for rapid enrollment and identification of voters.

The United States Agency for International Development is funding the project.

M2SYS attributes its contract win to TrueVoter’s full functionality, which includes database management and a complete analytics portal, along with the company’s experience with previous biometric voter registration projects.

“We are pleased that IFES and the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum have selected M2SYS for our TrueVoter and ABIS solutions for their electoral process in Yemen,” said Mizan Rahman, founder and CEO of M2SYS Technology. “Governments and electoral commissions across the globe are utilizing biometric voter registration technology to establish fair and credible elections.

M2SYS True Voter system has a range features, including highly customizable modules for both input and output settings; multimodal biometric voter identification including fingerprint, iris, palm print, finger vein, palm vein, and facial recognition; complete analytics reporting and data logs for voter data analysis and visualization; fuzzy search and advanced data clustering capabilities; and information safety protection measures to protect citizen privacy including strong encryption and fault tolerant architecture.

TrueVoter also provides Voter Data Manager, which is a central application that manages all voter records and is able to import data from other third-party data capture applications.

This secure system will enable the SCER to execute a clean, nationwide voter registry, and de-duplicate biometric data within the database to curb voter fraud such as registering more than once or voting under different names.

M2SYS Technology has posted a video that demonstrates the inner workings of the TrueVoter biometric voting registration platform.
