EyeLock, MorphoTrust form partnership to deliver enterprise biometric identity solutions

EyeLock and MorphoTrust USA (Safran) announced they hav formed a strategic partnership to deliver biometric identity solutions and services to enterprise, motor vehicle administration, airport screening and financial services markets.

MorphoTrust serves consumers through its national network of 1,100 IdentoGO Centers, which securely capture and transmit electronic fingerprints required for employment, certification and licensing by federal, state and local governments and private enterprises.

By teaming up with EyeLock, MorphoTrust is able to expand its offerings to include iris technology.

As a result, MorphoTrust customers will be able to use iris technology for downstream authentication applications verifying identity for access privileges, either physical or online and via mobile devices.

“With the ever-growing need for more robust security solutions, EyeLock’s technology has risen to the top as the clear leader in iris authentication,” said Charles Carroll, senior vice president of enrollment services at MorphoTrust. “Our partnership with EyeLock brings together two strong market leaders – enabling MorphoTrust to better serve our existing customers, and providing an even stronger value proposition for expansion into new markets as more and more enterprises seek highly secure, high throughput and seamless biometric identity solutions.”

EyeLock technology uses dual eye authentication to view more than 240 points of unique characteristics in each human iris, as well as high-speed video technology to provide highly effective authentication security.

The company launched myris, a palm-sized device that provides secure access to digital accounts, at CES 2014 and was recently named a 2015 CES Innovation Awards honoree.

The device is EyeLock’s first consumer iris authentication product that is designed for both enterprise and mass-market use.

“According to Global Marketing Insights, the market for iris biometrics is growing at an annual growth rate of 19 percent,” said Jim Demitrieus, CEO of EyeLock. “Our existing deployments and relationships in the commercial and consumer arena provide us a good foundation. However with our technology at IdentoGO Centers by MorphoTrust, EyeLock is positioned to capture an even larger share of this growth. Having a convenient way to enroll people ultimately paves the way for iris authentication in all types of downstream transactions for physical access, logical access and transaction verification.”
