QiKU smartphones to feature FPC and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology

Precise Biometrics and Fingerprint Cards (FPC) announced they are providing the fingerprint technology for three QiKu smartphones.

“We welcome yet another user of Precise BioMatch Mobile,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “Biometric performance and user experience is dependent on high performance algorithm software. We are confident that they with Precise BioMatch Mobile have found an excellent solution for their new line of smartphone models.”

Precise Biometrics has integrated its mobile fingerprint recognition software, Precise BioMatch Mobile, into the smartphones, while FPC has provided its touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025.

“QiKu is a prominent smartphone manufacturer in China and we are proud that QiKu selected FPC1025 for ‘Professional’, ‘Flagship’ and ‘Young’, its first smartphones integrating a touch fingerprint sensor,” said Jörgen Lantto, CEO of FPC. “FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality.”

Previously reported, Precise Biometrics partnered with Fingerprint Cards (FPC) to integrate its mobile fingerprint recognition software, Precise BioMatch Mobile, in Huawei’s new Honor 7i smartphone.
