DERMALOG iris recognition software matches 25 million eyes per second

DERMALOG iris recognition software matches 25 million eyes per second

German biometrics firm DERMALOG announced its iris recognition software matches about 25 million eyes per second. Independent testing, auditing and certification firm SGS-TÜV Saar has certified the system’s speed.

This news follows up the speed records the company set for its face recognition and fingerprint matching last month.

“These outstanding achievements are the result of decades of research and make us the innovation leader in the most important fields of biometric identification,” says DERMALOG CEO Gunther Mull. “The fact that multiple biometric features can be compared in record time also proves our leading role in multimodal biometrics, which is becoming increasingly important.”

DERMALOG showcased how biometrics can be a straightforward and secure alternative to the password at CEBIT 2018 earlier this month.
