BIO-key appoints Chief Revenue Officer

 

BIO-key today announced the appointment of technology sales executive Frederick Corsentino as Chief Revenue Officer, a new position with the biometric software and hardware solutions provider.

Corsentino will be responsible for refining and focusing BIO-key’s business development, sales and integrated marketing functions to optimize revenue growth. He has decades of sales leadership experience and revenue growth accomplishment, with a particular emphasis on emerging technologies.

Mr. Corsentino previously launched a consulting practice that advises security and information research and technology companies on go-to market strategies to increase sales prospects and drive revenue growth. He has also served as Chief Revenue Officer at Comodo, led sales at Meru Networks, directed worldwide sales strategy for Proxim Wireless and led the turnaround of a communications networking Products Company, growing sales by 250% to $32M over three years.

“I’m excited to leverage my decades of experience in building out new business development strategies and contributing to BIO-key’s goal of achieving consistent long-term revenue growth,” commented Corsentino.

A BIO-key share offering in August raised $2.1M. The company noted that it intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including working capital.

In other company news BIO-key CEO Mike DePasquale will present at LD Micro’s NYC Summit on Tuesday, September 25.
