IDEMIA appoints digital identity veteran SVP of Civil Identity for North America

IDEMIA announced the appointment of Matthew Thompson as Senior Vice President of Civil Identity and a member of the executive committee for Identity and Security business in North America. Thompson will lead the combined Digital Identity and Civil Identity business lines.

Thompson has been recognized by One World Identity as one of the “Top 100 Influencers in Identity” in 2017 and 2018. Prior to joining IDEMIA, Thompson served as Senior Director of Identity Services for Capital One, Vice President, Strategic Solutions at Xcelerate Solutions and was the President and Co-founder of ID.ME, a digital identity platform that simplifies how individuals securely prove and share who they are online.

His years of experience in the digital identity sector will help us accelerate our strategy and support our clients in their digital transformation,”said Ed Casey, Chief Executive Officer of IDEMIA’s Identity & Security business in North America. “Matt’s broad network of relationships in the digital identity space and his customer-focused mindset should enable a seamless transition in his new role.”
