NEC showcasing physical and cybersecurity tech at GovernmentWare 2018

 

NEC Asia Pacific announced its participation at next week’s 28th annual GovernmentWare (GovWare) conference and showcase, held together with the Singapore International Cyber Week.

In addititon to a presentation by Walter Lee, Evangelist and Government Relations Leader, Global Safety Division of NEC Corporation on “AI for Next Generation Cyber Defense”, the NEC booth will feature: Mobile Authenticator, a software based, AI solution for digital ID login to eGovernment or online web services using facial recognition and liveness detection technologies; NeoFace Image data mining, a search function for various types of information from large volumes of video data; a facial recognition-based access control gate, and; a range of cyber security solutions.

“Cyber attacks continue to make global headlines, and the harsh reality is that they are constantly evolving to keep pace with the times,” explained said Tan Boon Chin, Managing Director, Global Safety Division at NEC Corporation. “With a combination of technology, experience and experts, NEC is capable of providing customers with multi-layered security solutions in the cyber and physical realms in order to forge a trusted and open cyberspace for public and private enterprises.”

NEC Vice President of Federal Operations Benji Hutchinson recently spoke with Biometric Update about public facial recognition deployments and the current debate about the technology.
