10ZiG Technology has added support for Imprivata’s Fingerprint Reader to its Thin & Zero Client endpoint series to provide highly secure access to records and applications for customers in healthcare and other verticals.

Thin & Zero Client devices from 10ZiG are used by customers to access server-based applications from distributed endpoints in a network, primarily within the healthcare industry.

Healthcare professionals have used 10ZiG endpoints with Imprivata OneSign Single-Sign-On (SSO) and Proximity Reader for “no-click” access to virtual desktops without extra passwords. Now having fine-tuned its compatibility with Imprivata’s fingerprint technology, 10ZiG says it will address new demand in other markets that can benefit from biometric authentication, such as banking.

“We’re very aware that our customer base is diverse and all verticals rely on us to keep up with ever-changing demands in today’s market,” says 10ZiG Technology Chief Technology Officer Kevin Greenway. “The Imprivata Proximity Card and Fingerprint Readers with 10ZiG Clients offer a range of features like security and convenience for multiple markets. The 10ZiG endpoint difference is focus and service. All we do is Thin & Zero Client hardware and our Tech and Customer Service is top-rated best.”

Helathcare provider CoxHealth recently deployed Imprivata’s PatientSecure palm vein biometric verification technology for customer check-ins.
