Vietnamese bank selects NICE voice biometrics technology for fraud prevention

NICE announced today that a bank in Vietnam has chosen its Real-Time Authentication (RTA) and fraud prevention solution to secure banking in its 25 branches and 30 transaction offices. This is the first domestic bank in Vietnam to use NICE voice biometrics.

According to the announcement, the bank is leading the Vietnamese banking industry with its investment in cutting edge security solutions to enhance customers’ banking security. The NICE RTA solution will allow the bank to conduct secure and seamless voice authentication, improving customer experience across channels including live agent, IVR and mobile. Authentication takes place within the first few seconds of the call, during the natural flow of conversation, helping the bank deliver better service while preventing fraud.

“Together with our partner BASE Business Solutions, we are happy to support the bank, a pioneer in the Vietnamese banking industry,” commented Darren Rushworth, president of NICE APAC. “NICE RTA provides secure voice authentication, which delivers quicker and more efficient customer service while also shielding customers from fraud.”

In December Swiss retail financial institution PostFinance integrated the NICE RTA solution with its call center operations and reduced identification and authentication times for customers by more than half.
