Suprema launches compact facial recognition terminal for access control, time attendance

 

Suprema has launched FaceLite, a compact facial recognition terminal designed for enterprise access control systems and time and attendance applications.

According to the announcement, FaceLite comes loaded with a powerful 1.2GHz CPU and 8GB memory and boasts matching speed of up to 30,000 matches per second and up to 30,000 users. It also features an intuitive face-enrollment GUI for faster user registration. The new technology allows greater range of operating illuminance from zero lux to 25,000 lux which covers almost every possible lighting conditions regardless of indoor or outdoor, day or night.

FaceLite also features dual-frequency, multi-card reading technology amd supports both 125 kHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies. It reads most types of RFID card standards with a single device including MIFARE, DESFire, FeliCa and EM. FaceLite also supports both BLE and NFC technologies for smartphone authentication.

AMREL recently launched the next generation of its single-finger biometric module powered by Suprema to extend fingerprinting capabilities to law enforcement professionals using Samsung smartphones.
