Vision-Box has partnered with Gatwick Airport in London to provide it with its Orchestra Services Platform for a seamless passenger experience and to improve processing times, the company announced.

Vision-Box won the framework contract for end-to-end passenger processing following an extensive selection process. The framework agreement is signed for five years, during which Vision-Box has to replace legacy solutions with their own technology.

“We are pleased to have Vision-Box as our trusted partner for this new endeavor, which supports both our growth plans and our focus on delivering the best passenger experience possible,” said Chris Woodroofe, Chief Operating Officer of Gatwick Airport in a prepared statement. “By introducing this new passenger flow and identity management system, we can simplify and automate our passenger journey at various touch points across the airport – at check-in, bag drop and boarding gate – using a range of the latest technologies.”

Vision-Box’s platform represents the foundation of the Seamless Flow ecosystem to keep up with high passenger traffic and optimize flow management for a frictionless experience.

“Vision-Box have been directly supporting Gatwick in their ambitious plans since 2015, and we are delighted the collaborative and trusted nature of the relationship between the two organizations, and associated stakeholders, has resulted in the award of a framework that can revolutionize the orchestration of passenger flow for Gatwick Airport’s customers,” said Miguel Leitmann, Vision-Box CEO.

Vision-Box will perform live demos of the solution at Passenger Terminal Expo 2020 in Paris between March 31 and April 2. The company will present a panel discussion about global travel transformation generated by digital identity, biometrics, AI, big data and collaborative traveler digital networks.

“By taking an active role here, we are in a unique position to offer insights and recommendations and to better understand the needs and concerns of our customers,” Leitmann said. “Advancing seamless travel technology to the next level of adoption is our top priority this year. One way we want to go about this in this great event, is to engage in tangible discussions with the industry regarding the business benefits we can jointly deliver as passenger’s growth is inevitable.”
