iDenfy adds FaceTec’s 3D biometric liveness detection to identity verification platform

iDenfy adds FaceTec’s 3D biometric liveness detection to identity verification platform

iDenfy has entered a partnership with FaceTec to integrate 3D biometric liveness detection with the iDenfy identity verification platform, enabling confirmation that the user is a real person and spoof prevention, the company announced.

FaceTec’s 3D Face Authentication technology blocks spoofing attempts with deepfakes, images and videos from social media, paper prints, masks, and 3D fake heads, the company says.

“In territories where iDenfy operates, there are strong Anti Money Laundering requirements, yet we must accomplish identity verification in real-time. When we use real-time verification to ensure that they just can’t fake the face of the user with a selfie of the ID document owner, we create a nearly impossible obstacle for fraudsters,” said Domantas Ciulde, CEO of iDenfy, in a prepared statement. “By equipping our platform with FaceTec 3D Face Authentication, we were able successfully to defeat 100 percent of the attacks during our testing. This upgrade strongly improved our tools to combat money laundering and terrorism financing, and also provided a faster and easier way for the user to complete the identity verification process.”

iDenfy recently received ISO 27001 certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

FaceTec’s 3D Face Authentication solution is certified 100 percent spoof-proof at Level 1 and Level 2 in the Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) test guided by the ISO 30107 testing standard conducted by iBeta.

iDenfy’s system enhances user experience and prevents fraud and identity theft by using customer devices as ID scanning terminals.

“We are very excited to work with iDenfy on their extremely secure identity verification solution,” said Kevin Alan Tussy, CEO of FaceTec, in the statement. “As the world moves quickly toward digital identity, our Certified Liveness Detection AI and 3D Face Matching provide the authentication confidence required for the highest value transactions.”
