LittleMore releases biometrics-enabled digital examination tool for colleges and universities

Edutech subsidiary LittleMore Innovation Labs has released PEXA Lite, a digital examination tool with biometric proctoring features for university students to use to take exams from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, writes the Hindu Business Line.

PEXA Lite is an extension of its flagship PEXA platform originally introduced on the market in 2013, and provides access to digital hardware DigiTaal and PEXA software for the cloud. Supporting both Windows and Android devices, PEXA Lite was launched following high demand from the company’s clients, and is device agnostic, according to the report.

It leverages biometric and digital proctoring capabilities to monitor students during exams and can identify fraud with advanced traceability algorithms. Limited connectivity does not affect tech performance and data is encrypted through multiple protocols.

The software will first be released in India, and then in UAE, Australia, Malaysia and Singapore, Srikanth Ganesan, founder and CEO of LittleMore Innovation Labs told the Hindu Business Line. During the roll out in India, Ganesan expects to process 50,000 students in June.
