Hexnode integrates Okta’s identity and access management solution

Enterprise device management vendor Hexnode has partnered with Okta to integrate its cloud-based identity and access management solution for enhanced flexibility, the company announced.

Okta Cloud Identity secures workforce identity authentication and manages user access to resources and applications. It includes a Single Sign-On (SSO) feature that enables user access to multiple applications with a single credential, and adaptive multi-factor authentication (MFA) techniques to prevent data breaches.

“With this integration admins can sync their Okta directories to Hexnode for allowing secure, seamless access to the Hexnode portal. We consider this integration to be just a starting point and plan on integrating more features offered by Okta such as Single Sign On and multi factor authentication. We are focusing on solving the security concerns of our end user by adding other beneficial integrations as well,” said Rachana Vijayan, CMO Hexnode, in a prepared statement.

Customers who already use Okta can use their credentials to enroll their devices in Hexnode, including iOS, Android, Windows and macOS. Hexnode will soon introduce the SSO and the MFA functionalities.

Hexnode has adapted its platform to manage remote devices amid the COVID-19 crisis. Under the partnership, the two companies have introduced new features for advanced device management such as Android file explorer and Mac management features.

In April, Okta launched Okta Fastpass, promising the first truly end-to-end passwordless experience across devices, applications, and operating systems with biometrics. The company is giving $10 million in philanthropic funding for the upcoming three years to help nonprofit organizations introduce and leverage technology relating to digital identity.
