BIO-key provides single sign-on, transaction security and account recovery for credit card processor

cybersecurity online authentication

Credit card processing company Clearent LLC has selected identity and access management capabilities from biometrics-powered IAM solutions provider BIO-key to secure its customer self-enrollment, account recovery and online access.

Clearent is a fast-growing and innovative credit card processor with tens of thousands of users, BIO-key says.

BIO-key’s PortalGuard tailored the authentication solution to meet specific account recovery needs. The solution also provides advanced transaction security, user account management features, and a more cost-effective licensing model for Clearent’s internal system security. Clearent’s payment portal will offer users the security and convenience of PortalGuard’s Single Sign-on functionality, according to the announcement.

“Every financial institution manages the delicate balance between security and convenience to remain competitive,” states BIO-key Chairman and CEO Mike DePasquale. “The PortalGuard IAM platform offers organizations the ability to deliver flexible and secure solutions that scale without interrupting the customer experience. We also offer robust multifactor authentication options, including biometric authentication, providing our customers with the strongest cybersecurity capabilities available today.”

BIO-key recently signed up the municipal government of Durham, North Carolina for identity management with PortalGuard, which is the seventh partnership agreement since the company picked up PortalGuard in its recent acquisition of PistolStar.
