Suprema ID confirms biometric scanner used by Spanish National Police for mobile identification

Suprema ID has confirmed its BioMini Slim 2S biometric fingerprint scanner is integrated with the biometric identification devices deployed to police cars for identification in the field by Spanish National Police.
The devices are provided by Kimaldi and Federal Signal Varma, providing FAP20 fingerprint authentication and Suprema’s advanced Live Finger Detection, according to the announcement. Elyctis announced recently that Kimaldi is supplying its ID Box One identity document and biometrics readers to Spanish National Police, and Suprema’s fingerprint technology had been revealed as part of a pair of models from Elyctis’ ID Box One line earlier in the year.
“At Kimaldi our goal is to offer best-in-class products to our clients, and BioMini Slim 2S is definitely one of them,” says Kimaldi CEO Joaquim Garcia. “When working with government authorities, it is essential to work with excellent products that not only work flawlessly but also comply with the highest security standards. The combination of Suprema ID’s products and Kimaldi’s permanent and rigorous customer support is the key to our success.”
