Precise Biometrics’ fingerprint recognition technology in two more Taiwanese smartphones

Precise Biometrics announced on Friday that its algorithm solution for ‎fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been integrated in two Taiwanese smartphones through its relationship with Fingerprint Cards.

Precise BioMatch Mobile is an algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition on smartphones and tablets. The patented hybrid algorithm solution is optimized for small fingerprint sensors and platforms with limited processing power and memory space.

Another unnamed Taiwanese OEM launched a smartphone model last November featuring Precise Biometrics and Fingerprint Cards technology.

This is the first announcement of the year from the identity authentication firm, while it is underway acquiring NexID Biometrics, a spoof mitigation and liveness detection solutions provider, announced last month.
