Payne Security appoints Janet Taylor business development manager for transport smart card sector

Categories Biometrics News

Payne Security has announced the appointment of Janet Taylor as Business Development Manager for its transport smart card sector.

Payne Security is an international provider of authentication technologies, document security and card solutions targeted towards enterprise users in the transport, ITSO smart ticketing, education, health and government and private sectors. The company’s Card Solutions business area includes Securit World, idpro and Payne Security Card Manufacturing.

Taylor comes to Payne Security after eight years at Novacroft, where she was sales director. She has spent more than 18 years in the transport, smart ticketing and public sector space winning contracts with Transport for London, the Association of Train Operating Companies, the Scottish Improvement Service and concessionary transport cards with local authorities in England, Scotland and Wales. Taylor will leverage this experience and focus on the company’s work in the smart ticketing transport market.

In 2012, Payne Security was awarded Intergraf CWA certification as an accredited supplier to the smart card printing industry. Intergraf CWA certification is designed to offer accredited security levels for customers and to ensure compliance. Accreditation remains for three years, though Payne Security still must undergo annual audits.

A recent Biometric Research Note suggests that increased demand, along with evolving challenges in issuance, usability and accuracy have complicated the smart card implementation process, requiring systematic processes to ensure a smooth delivery and effective smart card deployment.
