Biometrics Institute Introduction to Biometrics Short-Course Australia 2014

The Biometrics Institute is holding a 2 day, 16 hour Introduction to Biometrics Short-Course on the 26th and 27th May 2014.

Held at the Radisson Hotel & Suites, in Sydney, Australia just days prior to the Asia-Pacific Conference 2014, this 2 day workshop is designed to present a short overview of the primary issues in automated human recognition, also known as “Biometrics”.

The course will be facilitated by leading international biometrics expert, Dr. James L. Wayman of San Jose State University. The course is planned for persons looking for a quick introduction to the history, fundamentals, standards, performance capabilities and case studies of biometric systems, with a focus on fingerprint, face and iris recognition.

The Biometrics Institute encourages anyone with an interest in biometrics to attend.
