Forensics and biometrics provide DoD and Federal Civilian Organizations with critical capabilities help to identify threats, reduce costs, and target valuable resources where they are needed. Advances in identity intelligence allow for discovery of unknown potential threat actors by connecting individuals to other persons, places, events, or materials, analyzing patterns of life, and characterizing their level of potential threats to US interests. The Government is actively seeking improvements to current systems and new approaches to improve identity intelligence in support of national security.
The symposium will provide valuable information on efforts from the policy and operational communities on how the US Government plans to integrate biometrics with other tools, both existing and in R&D to support defense and homeland security operations and improve the efficiency of Government organizations.
