ZKAccess receives award for its access control camera with embedded facial recognition

ZKAccess has received the ESX Innovation Award for its HD IP access control camera, ZKAccess BioCam 300, in the category of Access Control: Readers/Keypads.

The ESX Innovation Awards recognizes industry products and services for their innovative technology, design or application.

A panel of judges select the winners after performing a full evaluation of the products and services entered for their ability to help security and life safety professionals operate, grow, and maximize their businesses, as well as innovate for the future.

“Our winners represent the best of the best. We applaud them for driving our industry forward and improving both the end-user experience and our ability to run our companies efficiently and profitably,” said George De Marco, ESX chairman.

BioCam 300 combines long-range facial recognition, video surveillance and time & attendance in a single device. It can operate as a stand-alone or be integrated into any existing third party access control panel with Wiegand input.

The product’s embedded facial recognition technology automatically unlocks a door when an authorized user walks within 12 feet of its camera.

Additionally, its built-in infra-red illuminators ensure accurate face recognition, even in low-light conditions.

“We at ZKAccess are extremely honored and proud to have been selected as an ESX Innovation Award winner,” said Larry Reed, CEO, ZKAccess. “We look forward to introducing ESX attendees to the BioCam 300 at our ESX Booth # 718.

Previously reported, biometrics and RFID security solutions firm ZKAccess signed CCTV.Net as a new distribution partner.
