NEXT Biometrics adds Korean distributor to expand fingerprint sensor module sales

 

NEXT Biometrics Group ASA announced it has signed WPG Korea as its Korean distributor of its new fingerprint sensor modules.

WPG Korea is part of WPG Holdings, and touts itself as the largest electronics distributor in Asia. It is a franchise partner for more than 250 suppliers, with a presence across Asia and North America.

“WPG Korea is targeting companies that drive forward the Internet of Things and security market,” says Mr. CP Kwak, president of WPG Korea. “In these markets, the sensor system needs to work reliably and safely. We believe that NEXT Biometrics has very advanced technology and will play a key role in IoT and security markets.”

Tore Etholm-Idsoe, CEO of NEXT Biometrics, added, “WPG will serve Korean customers within traditional markets and in new exiting markets enabled by our unique mix of size and price.”

NEXT Biometrics recently announced a partnership with India-based AqTronics Technologies to distribute its line of biometric identification products across India.
