Unwired Nation adds Touch ID biometric fingerprint support for mobile banking app

Mobile banking platform firm Unwired Nation announced it has added Touch ID biometric security support for its mobile app, Unwired Banking.

Unwired Nation’s mobile banking solution offers a wide range of mobile features including increased security and end user convenience.

Unwired’s Touch ID biometric security feature combines advanced biometric security and the use of cloud-based solutions to ensure that personal, account, password and financial data are never stored on the user’s smartphone.

Unwired Nation said it will bring similar biometric authentication support for Android users in the future.

Previously reported, several major banks around the world have announced they are deploying various biometric technologies to improve the authorization security of their mobile banking apps.
