Suprema adds three new RF card format models to BioStation 2 fingerprint terminal

Suprema announced it has added three additional RF card format variant models to its BioStation 2 biometric fingerprint terminal.

The move comes a few months after Suprema launched BioStation 2, a fingerprint terminal that uses robust hardware and algorithms to improve accuracy and provide matching speeds of up to 20,000 fingerprints per second.

The new models support 125KHz EM, 125KHz HID Prox and 13.56MHz HID iClass SE RF standards, adding to an RF lineup that already provides support for 13.56MHz MiFare DesFire, DesFire EV1, Felica and NFC formats.

By adding the new formats, Suprema should be able to expand its customer base with specific RF card format requirements, particularly in the US and UK markets.

BioStation 2 combines robust hardware and advanced algorithms to improve accuracy and provide matching speeds of up to 20,000 fingerprints per second.

The biometric terminal combines IP65-rated structure and Power-over-Ethernet capability, as well as features an optical sensor that significantly improves the capture of wet or dry fingers for both indoor and outdoor use.

The performance is matched with a large user and log capacity to accommodate mid to enterprise level applications.

The terminal also features extensive communication interfaces including TCP/IP, RS485, Wiegand and USB, and offers built-in WiFi to extend its versatility.
