Research and standards on biometric presentation attacks

On 19 January 2016 the European Biometrics Symposium will take place in Martigny, adjacent to the SC37 meeting.

With the rapid emergence of unsupervised biometric applications (such on mobile devices) the matter of presentation attack resistance has become increasingly important. This year’s symposium will focus on the detection of presentation attacks. Leading academic and industrial experts will present cutting edge methods and technologies designed to detect and reduce presentation attacks on biometric devices. Various modalities will be discussed.

The symposium is organized by the EAB, kindly hosted by the IDIAP Research Institute. The address is:

IDIAP Research Institute
Rue Marconi 19
1920 Martigny
Switzerland

The symposium starts at 13.00 and will be finished on 18.00 hrs. You can register here.

For EAB members and members of the SC37 attendance is free of charge. Non-members pay €75.
