FPC and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology in two new 360 devices

Fingerprint Cards (FPC) and Precise Biometrics fingerprint technology has been integrated into two new 360 mobile devices.

360’s new Q5 and Q5+ devices feature the FPC OneTouch fingerprint sensor FPC1035 and Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics, recently said that the company continues to see strong results in licensing biometric algorithm software to the mobile market with its Precise BioMatch Mobile technology being used in 40 mobile devices and laptops during Q2.

In other news, Christian Fredrikson recently took over as FPC CEO from Jörgen Lantto on August 1. The change was made to strengthen the company’s organization in order to execute the firms strategy of adapting fingerprint sensors into new market areas such as smart cards and internet of things.
