Precise Biometrics fingerprint recognition algorithm solution in new smartphone

Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been deployed in a recently launched smartphone from an unnamed Chinese vendor through cooperation with Chipone.

Precise BioMatch Mobile is a patented hybrid algorithm solution optimized for small fingerprint sensors and platforms with limited processing power and memory space.

Precise Biometrics entered into an agreement with Chipone earlier this year for licensing of Precise BioMatch Mobile. At the time, JinFang Zhang, CEO at Chipone commented: “The cooperation with Precise Biometrics secures that we can provide a competitive total solution for fingerprint recognition.”

Precise Biometrics is currently projecting the integration will generate royalty revenue starting from the fourth quarter of 2016.
