SecuGen demonstrating new two-finger reader at CES 2017

SecuGen will be demonstrating the Hamster Pro 45™, a new FAP 45 fingerprint reader that supports both flat, two-finger and rolled finger captures, at the CES 2017 show in Las Vegas in January.

The Hamster Pro 45 fingerprint reader is designed to meet the FBI’s Appendix F standard and is suitable for AFIS and other law enforcement applications.

The new device is slated for release in the first half of 2017. SecuGen will also release at that time the OEM sensor inside of the Hamster Pro 45 called the U45. The U45 sensor is intended for developers wanting to create their own two-finger readers or to imbed the two-finger sensor into some larger device.
“
“This is a milestone product for SecuGen,”” stated Jeff Brown, VP of Sales and Marketing for SecuGen. “”An AFIS quality two-finger reader offers new possibilities for SecuGen resellers. SecuGen products have expanded their reach into the law enforcement industry. This is only one of the exciting new products we are readying for our partners in 2017.”

Dan Riley, SecuGen’s VP of Engineering, added; ““I am proud to say that our team was given a specification and a price point for a two-finger reader, and we were able to achieve our targets. This new product, the Hamster Pro 45, is an exceptionally high quality device at a crazy low price. Our engineering team has exceeded every expectation.””

SecuGen will also be demonstrating the UN20 Bluetooth, a Bluetooth enabled OEM fingerprint sensor, at CES.
