German biometrics company Jenetric establishes office in the USA

Jenetric GmbH today announced the establishment of its wholly owned subsidiary Jenetric Inc., assuming the sales operations for American customers of the company.

The company completed its third funding round last December. “With the additional funds we mainly want to expand our production capacity and hit the ground running in the U.S. market,” said Roberto Wolfer, one of the founders and managing directors of Jenetric GmbH.

The U.S. subsidiary is headed by Holger Mackenthun. Mackenthun was co-founder of smartcard solutions firm ORGA Card Systems and recently lead sales and business development for biometric applications and U.S. government contracts at NEC Corporation of America.

“More and more customers in the U.S. are asking for our products and expect first-class on-site support,” said Wolfer. “Our U.S. subsidiary will provide personal, timely, and efficient customer service in one of the world’s most important biometric markets, helping to better meet customers’ needs in developing future products.”

Mackenthun, President of the new subsidiary, added, “I am looking forward to work for an innovative company like Jenetric, where I will be able to incorporate my experience, especially in the U.S. market, to serve and to expand the customer base”.

Jenetric’s products will be on display this week at connect: ID in Washington, D.C.
