Suprema bringing BioMini Slim 2 fingerprint scanner to SDW

Suprema bringing BioMini Slim 2 fingerprint scanner to SDW

Suprema will be showcasing its BioMini Slim 2 fingerprint authentication scanner this week at SDW 2017.

The company launched the BioMini Slim 2 at Trustech last year, and has since made successful introductions of what it calls the “world’s slimmest” optical scanner at ID4Africa and connect:ID.

The BioMini Slim 2 packs FBI PIV, FIPS 201 and Mobile ID FAP20 compliant fingerprint scanning capabilities into that slim form factor. It also features Suprema’s proprietary Multi-Dynamic Range (MDR) technology, IP65 waterproof and weatherproof durability for outside use, and advanced software-powered Live Finger Detection (LFD). By delivering anti-spoofing technology with software, rather than the hardware approaches used by many other fingerprint technology companies, Suprema is able to maintain the mobile-friendly form factor of the BioMini Slim 2, as well as its low cost.

“Since the successful introduction of BioMini Slim 2 on December 2016, we made strategic partnerships with a number of leading ID solution providers in US and EU countries,” explained Bogun Park, managing director at Suprema ID. “Now, with the official release of BioMini Slim 2 series scanners, we are looking forward to addressing our strategic partner’s demand with its small-form-factor design, unrivaled image quality and user-convenient supports on various platforms.”
