Six new smartphones feature FPC fingerprint sensors

 

Fingerprint Cards announced that six new smartphones launched recently feature FPC fingerprint sensors.

Xiaomi’s new Mi 6X and Redmi S2 models come with the FPC1028 sensor, Lenovo launched the Moto G6 and G6 Plus with the FPC1145 and Sharp launched the AQUOS R2 and AQUOS sense plus with the FPC1145 sensor.

In the Swedish biometrics company’s latest annual report, CEO Christian Frederikson said that one of FPC’s priorities is developing its ultrasound in-display fingerprint sensor, which will scan a user’s fingerprint when placed anywhere on a smartphone screen.
