Elyctis launches home ID reader to complete product range

 

ID document reader company Elyctis has announced it is now offering a full range of ID readers to cover all applications, with the Elyctis ID READER home use product joining the company’s suite of devices.

The Elyctis ID READER extends the company’s technology to home usage. The company is pitching it to governments to deliver high-quality citizen services while guaranteeing strong authentication, as well as non-government applications including banking, healthcare, insurance, and other services. The ID READER enables the development of home eID projects while keeping deployment costs under control, according to the announcement.

“Our range of products is now complete allowing to propose a full citizen journey regardless of the ID reading location,” comments Elyctis CEO Alexandre Joly. “With our products, systems integrators and application developers can now fulfill all application requirements for reading eID documents, regardless whether the usage is government or commercial, fixed or mobile, in a dedicated location or at home.”

The READER joins the Elyctis ID TAB, a tablet dedicated to mobile ID applications, such as border control checks, SIM registration, and hotel or car-rental check-in which was launched in 2016, and the Elyctis ID BOX One, a classic desktop eID reader. More than 5,000 Elyctis ID BOX One readers were deployed to voting stations to verify the identity of voters in Kyrgyzstan’s 2017 presidential election.

Elyctis will exhibit its technology at the upcoming Trustech 2018, November 27 to 29 in Cannes.
