FPC announces three new fingerprint sensor deployments

 

Fingerprint Cards has revealed three recent deployments of its fingerprint sensor technology in new smartphones from Huawei and Xiaomi.

The Huawei Mate 20 and the Xiaomi MIX 3 both feature Fingerprint Cards’ FPC1291 sensor and the Xiaomi Black Shark Helo features the FPC1229 sensor.

In October the Swedish biometrics firm announced a new distribution agreement that is expected to strengthen its position in India and help the company develop additional channels into smartphone sales in India.

Fingerprint Cards recently issued an optimistic interim report on the company’s first three quarters of the year.
