Yoti presents at Davos and adds new onboarding partner

Yoti participated in a panel at the recent World Economic Forum meeting in Davos, organized by the company’s partner LedgerState, on “Global Citizenship, Blockchain and Digital Government.”

The panel, which also includes several government representatives and other stakeholders, discussed investment migration, the effect of blockchain on governments and citizenship, digital government and good governance, and opportunities and threats related to enhanced digital identity, an area of extensive experience for Yoti. It also explored how governments can leverage the digital revolution to promote development, social inclusion and economic growth, and digital freedom and civil liberties in digital societies and smart cities.

Yoti has also announced a new partnership with Noku TokenRaise, which provides a blockchain platform for token creation and initial coin offerings (ICOs) and security token offerings (STOs).

The Noku TokenRaise platform was built as an all-in-one ecosystem to make token creation accessible to people without backgrounds in blockchain or coding, for which it needs to identify all users. Yoti’s technology allows users to prove their identity in seconds, and share their verified details by scanning a QR code or clicking a button. The streamlined onboarding process eliminates the need to present paper ID documents, according to the announcement.

“KYC is one of the most controversial subjects in today’s crypto world,” said Roberto Gorini, CEO at Noku TokenRaise. “For this reason, it’s essential to have a clear understanding of this process. It makes sense for individuals to have one, secure digital identity and use this each time they need to prove who they are, participating potentially in multiple token sales with just one identity verification. It’s great that they can use the Yoti app to verify their identity on Noku TokenRaise as well as in other sectors.”

Yoti recently revealed in a blog post that it achieved SOC 2 Type 1 (security) compliance with a flawless report on its first attempt.
