Onfido adds former Spotify and ForgeRock technology executives to its leadership team

Onfido announced today two seasoned technology executives to its leadership team. Thomas Ammirati, the new Chief Technology Officer and Kevin Goldsmith, Chief Revenue Officer are expected to lead Onfido’s 240 expert technologists as it continues its international expansion. Onfido recently raised $50 million dollars in a funding round led by SBI Investment and Salesforce Ventures.

Goldsmith and Ammirati will lead Onfido’s technology and sales teams respectively as the company scales its AI-powered identity verification platform into further global territories. Onfido currently has offices in San Francisco, London, New York, New Delhi and Singapore, and works with more than 1,500 customers worldwide.

Goldsmith has been a senior technology executive for over 27 years and joins Onfido from AstrumU where he served as vp of engineering. Goldsmith has also served as CTO at legal marketplace Avvo, vp of engineering at Spotify and director of engineering at Adobe. His role at Onfido will be to support and grow the technology, security and research teams as the company continues its expansion.

Ammirati brings 25 years’ plus experience in leading enterprise technology businesses. Prior to Onfido, he was senior vp of sales Americas at ForgeRock, and vp of North American sales at CipherCloud. Ammirati will lead Onfido’s sales, marketing and partnerships teams, with initial focus on US and International market expansion, digital identity partnerships and customer success.

“Our team demanded no compromise on the quality of leaders we brought into these two important roles,” says Eamon Jubbawy, COO and co-founder of Onfido. “After two very long searches, we were fortunate enough to meet Kevin and Thomas, two of the world’s most revered technology executives. We’re excited to see what they build at Onfido over the next 5-10 years.”

Mobile hotel booking app Sidehide recently chose Onfido as a partner to deliver a frictionless, one-click hotel check-in experience with mobile biometrics.
