Zwipe adds new manufacturing partner to commercialize biometric payment cards in China

 

Zwipe has partnered with global smart card manufacturer XH Smart to commercialize end-to-end biometric payment offerings in China and other markets.

XH Smart is a fully accredited Visa, Mastercard and China UnionPay card manufacturer, offering digital security solutions to financial sector customers in more than 70 countries. The company manufactured more than 44 million cards in 2018, according to the announcement.

“We are convinced that biometric payment cards is becoming one of the new standards in payments going forward and that is why we have partnered with Zwipe, the only company that can assist us in offering an end to end solution to our customers,” comments XH Smart Group SVP Eehou Lim. “We are confident that we have the right pieces in place to seize this exciting opportunity.”

Zwipe provides physical components and manufacturing support for card makers, as well as advisory services to build out complete offerings with product integration, and customer enrolment and onboarding on multiple platforms.

The partnership with XH Smart is the latest in a series of recent deals by Zwipe, including with Chinese payment card producer Goldpac, Middle East payment card provider Inkript, and chipmaker Infineon, to provide technology for contactless transactions.
